Viola labradorica 'Purpurea' is a beautiful perennial ground-cover that grows best in a semi-shaded to shaded position. Delicate mauve flowers sit above the deep purple foliage throughout the warmer months. Growing to approximately 10cm in height, this species will spread to approximately 50cm if allowed, but will likewise to well growing in small crevices and narrow garden beds where its spread is contained. For best results, keep moist and fertilise monthly. Frost tolerant.
