Fuchsia ×bacillaris is one of the rarer species of fuchsia available, being distinguished by its masses of tiny hot pink flowers that measure less than 1cm in length. Fuchsia ×bacillaris grows to a height and width of 30-40cm and prefers a semi-shaded, moist position in which to grow.
Fuchsia ×bacillaris is ideal for hanging baskets where its arching habit and petite flowers can be appreciated, although it is also most suitable for garden planting or patio pots. Fuchsia ×bacillaris is one of the easier fuchsias to grow and doesn't need an annual prune although will benefit from occasional trimming to maintain shape. Fertilise occasionally.
