Ajuga 'Metallica Crispa'
Ajuga pyramidalis 'Metallica Crispa' is a rarely-offered ground-cover perennial species grown for its metallic-purple crispy crinkled leaves which glisten in the sunlight. 'Metallica Crispa' will grow to approximately 15cm in height and spread to approximately 30 cm in width. Whilst suitable for pots, this cultivar will also look good in rockeries or adjacent to a path in a perennial garden. Upright stems with deep blue flowers will emerge in summer.
'Metallica Crispa' performs best in part-shade but will tolerate full sun if not permitted to dry out too much. Keep moist for best results and fertilise occasionally. Small plants may require protection from snails and slugs. Frost tolerant.
